As a Singer...Big Mo has been nominated as favorite male vocalist, sang on most every major concert stage in America, including the gospel portion of The Grand Ole' Opry. As a Songwriter... Milton Ostrander, known to most as BIG MO, has written hundreds of songs that have been recorded by some of the most popular gospel artists of our time. His songs have also been featured on the GAITHER HOMECOMING VIDEO SERIES. Mo has written with some of the greatest songwriters known, including Ronnie Hinson (writer of The Lighthouse), Aaron Wilburn (writer of It's Beginning to Rain), and Mike Payne (writer of When He Was On The Cross) and others. Many of his songs have topped the charts, even reaching the coveted #1 position in the national Top 40. Big MO has been for several years and currently is the ECSGMA "SONGWRITER OF THE YEAR". As a Musician...Mo has played many Nashville Recording Sessions. He has been asked to "sit in" with many of today's most recognized names in gospel music, including THE LEGENDARY HINSONS. Mo plays many instruments well, but the guitar is his favorite to play.
Big MO learned to play when he was only 10 years old, when his father taught him the basics. He then studied the guitar licks on his favorite recordings, and began to play what he heard the guitar players doing on the recordings. Soon, he was known as one of the hottest guitarists in the area even as a teen. Many have tried to duplicate his "sound". He has a knack for getting just the right sound to fit the song. Often, many players can tell "IT"S MO", the moment they hear his signature hot guitar sound on a recording.
As an Evangelist...Mo is often invited to preach large campmeetings all across America. Most of the time, you will find Mo somewhere ministering the Word to crowds both great and small. His ministry has expanded to National Television and is growing very rapidly. His powerful campmeeting style preaching is quickly becoming the talk of the world of ministry. He has been invited to minister with such powerful men of God as T.D. Jakes, Pastor John Hagee, Dr. E.V. Hill, Jesse Duplantis, Pastor Rod Parsley, John Maxwell, and many more.
